Supervision is a space to step back from the day-to-day demands of practice & think about the work in greater depth. It offers an opportunity to reflect on clients, explore your responses & clinical thinking, consider ethical & professional issues, & continue developing your practice & professional identity.
I work collaboratively with supervisees, creating a space where you can bring the things that feel straightforward as well as the things that feel more complicated or uncertain. Good supervision offers both support & appropriate challenge, while helping you develop confidence in your own practice.

My core approach is person-centred, & I draw on my wider training & experience to support our thinking & reflection.
My supervision is informed by the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision (Hawkins & Shohet) & the Cyclical Model of Supervision (Page & Wosket). These provide useful frameworks for looking at different aspects of the work, while allowing supervision to remain responsive to you, your clients, & the context in which you practise.
Supervision is most useful when there is space to be curious, to question our thinking & to consider different perspectives, while remaining grounded in the needs of the client & the responsibilities of our profession. It should be a space where you can bring uncertainty as well as confidence, & where there is room to think honestly about the work.
Experience across private, charity & organisational settings.
I qualified as a clinical supervisor in 2019 & have experience providing both individual & group supervision.
I work with trainee, newly qualified & experienced counsellors, as well as practitioners within organisations. I also have previous experience working with children & young people, which continues to inform my understanding when supervising counsellors working in this area.
Alongside my private supervision practice, I provide supervision for counsellors within Mind, & group supervision for River Counselling.
My professional experience across private practice, schools, charities & organisational settings has given me an understanding of the different contexts in which counsellors may be working.
